I have my 5 year old son painting a ceramic gnome right now. It’s 5:00. Friday. I would give anything to have a space right now like studio. To be alone and paint massive canvases sounds good to me right at this moment.

My Monday morning needed some new life, new greens in every room.
After school drop off, I side tracked myself and spent 2 hours pruning outside, mainly my massive split leaf philodendron plant.

What do your indoor and outdoor plants and vessels say about yourself? Or do you even have any? Each one should totally attribute to your rooms aesthetic to complete that style. Be it desert/midcentury, coastal, rustic or modern. These little organic details can make or break the rooms over all mood.

My client wanted their vaulted front room to be a gorgeous room they can hang out in by the fireplace, to get away from their main sectional living room. All of these pieces took time to curate because of the current lead times.

It’s about time that I share some of the great finds I saw in the Puerto Vallarta Design Center. I was drooling over all the local handmade pieces. Pieces I’ve never seen in any of the North American markets.

I asked many if they ship to the US and they all said “No” unfortunately. We figured they could ship to Tijuana and I could pick it up there and bring it over into San Diego. Easier said than done right.

The quality of woods in their tables and chairs are so strong especially the teak. Sculpted in ways I’ve never seen. It just makes me optimistic to one day be able to do interiors in Mexico because their work needs to get exposed, it’s just too good.

was my favorite because its all Mexican made, not from Indonesia like a lot of what we’re used to seeing. Paula is currently filling her 2 story showroom with the sickest mid century modern, contemporary furniture, decor, lighting and art. It’s seriously so very well curated. Slowly her IG page will grow once she unpackages everything and will share her goods with the world.

Holiday greetings from Puerto Vallarta. This will be my 30 year traveling here, thanks to my parents buying timeshare when I was 16. So I’m in heaven being back with my family making more memories.

He mixed vintage glass mirrors and lighting with gorgeous gem toned raw marble to set the tone.

Have you ever touched a wallpaper, not just any wallpaper, but a beautiful murral made with Italian handmade plaster cloth?

I scooped these mid century beauties up for $8 a piece. Yup, I know! 

Fun Fact: I love midcentury anything and if it’s at the right price and it needs love, you bet it’s coming home with me. 

Someone painted these silver. I’d love to know what they were originally, unfortunatly there’s no trace of another color. I originally pictured them in a shade of black, but a quick visit to Home Depot had terra cotta shades speaking to me for that boho/mid century vibe.
