We tested crown moulding strength at 185 lbs… and learned something interesting. 💡

The glue held. The MDF? Not so much.

This is why we're careful about material choices in every remodel — especially in high-traffic areas or anywhere structural integrity matters.

Not all materials are created equal, and shortcuts show up fast when you learn the difference.

I hate to see craftsmanship die.

But it starts with understanding what you're actually paying for.

A craftsman didn't wake up one day with those skills. They spent years perfecting their craft—through failures, sweat, and a level of pride that won't let them do anything less.

That dedication deserves to be supported.

Now here's the thing: what a craftsman offers may not be worth it to you. And that's okay. I'm human too—not everything expensive is worth it to me either. Sometimes I just want what gets the job done.

But if you don't understand the difference between craftsmanship and just getting it done, you'll never see the value.

The heart of the problem? We as craftsmen haven't done enough to show you why it matters.

Most people see a chipped tile and think "quick fix."

But here's what really happens:

Replace that one tile → disturb the waterproofing beneath it → now you've got a potential leak waiting to happen.

Kidding… kind of.

Most people see the finished tile and glass… but they don't see the hours spent on our knees, measuring, drawing lines, making sure every inch makes sense.

This shower entry? We had to plan:
• How far the pony wall extends (wide enough for a curb and beautiful entry)
• Door clearance (so it swings without hitting the vanity)
• Countertop depth (can't crowd the space)
• Making it all work together—not just functional, but beautiful

The best remodels aren't rushed. They're thought through, planned out, and executed with care.
