Paint 'n Sip Parties

The morning that the Chandler Tiny Homes community accepted its first residents, Fonda Rosing of Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission walked from unit to unit, putting original paintings on the walls.

The lovely works were donated by Paint 'n Sip Parties, an organization that as its name suggests combines making art with sipping beverages; in many cases, wine.

The founder, Kristine Griffith, had heard about the community and wanted to make the new arrivals feel welcome. Kristine's kindness exemplifies how the larger community has quickly embraced the "tiny" community.

I'm so happy to finally have some time to create some new paintings to teach at our Paint 'n Sip Parties. I especially had fun painting this Fox and Cardinal. It reminds me of a winter scene from my home state of Michigan. We provide a stencil with this painting at our events so it's easy to get the fox and cardinal right. My hope is to teach people to paint on my YouTube channel this year so I can share the fun of painting with a wider audience. Painting makes me so happy!!!😍

I am so proud of this event we did with Nike for the release of a new Nike jersey by LA tattoo artist Freddy Negrete. Freddy supplied the sugar skull artwork and nearly 50 Nike painters turned out at Salazar Park last Saturday morning. Love this gorgeous group shot! Big thank you to William Alo @ Nike for organizing the event, and to our talented artists, Maria and Christian for teaching and hosting the event on behalf of Paint 'n Sip Parties!
