I had fun collaborating with M M Design, LLC on the furniture for this gorgeous remodel that you can come see at the Louisville Tour of Remodeled Homes this weekend! We're house 11 - 2211 Woodbourne Ave.

With 4 birthdays in 2 months over here there's a lot of cake happening. While I'm decent at baking cakes, the assembly is a little more amateur. Ah well, it all tastes the same! This is round 2 of this particular cake which is from The New York Times Classic Birthday Cake from Alison Roman BUT with the icing from Yellow Sheet Cake by Erin Jeanne McDowell (1.5 times the recipe)

Let me tell you why I love the recipes from DELICIOUS chocolate chip cookies, no softening butter (melted browned butter), no mixer, no refrigerating the dough for 24 hrs (I admit, those recipes are good, but when I want a chocolate chip cookie I want it immediately). Thank you for all her cookbooks! It makes it possible to have a homemade treat amongst the chaos and limited time of two small children.
