Familiar Form | Different Function

Form & Fiber’s Box Series extends beyond planters. By adapting the standard planter form into an inverted configuration, we can create a non-rated bollard, cube seating, or both while retaining the same clean lines and simple geometry.

Used to define spaces or offer a place to pause, these customizable applications bring a consistent architectural character across planters, seating, and landscape accents.

At Klyde Warren Park, a lunch break becomes time outdoors, a weekend outing brings friends together, and an evening walk becomes a reason to linger.

Built above Woodall Rodgers Freeway, this celebrated Dallas deck park reconnects neighborhoods through shared green space. Its influence reaches beyond Texas, offering an internationally recognized example of how urban infrastructure can make room for community.

Form & Fiber produced the planters featured here for Phase 1A, a subsequent phase following the park’s original core installation. Positioned along promenades and near gathering areas, their clean round and rectangular forms complement the planting, architecture, and daily life of the park.

We’re proud to contribute to a Dallas destination where thoughtful public space brings people together.

Designed to respond to the landscape, not restrict it.

For this year’s ASLA Conference in Los Angeles, Form & Fiber designed and fabricated this custom sloped Corten steel landscape wall system for our exhibit.

Sloped, straight, curved, or transitioning with changes in elevation, our landscape wall systems are all fabricated to the designer’s specified geometry, allowing the system to respond to the composition of the landscape rather than requiring the landscape to conform to the product.

From shop floor to show floor, this one was built to demonstrate what’s possible.

Defined edges. Warm material character.

At Flats on First Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts, thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces create places to gather within this urban residential community. Form & Fiber’s Corten steel landscape wall systems frame planting areas and define transitions between the courtyard and surrounding streetscape.

Along pedestrian routes and gathering spaces, the steel’s warm tones complement the planting, paving, and surrounding architecture, creating a cohesive material palette from day to dusk.

A standard form, customized for the project.

For the Andrews Distributing campus in Dallas, Form & Fiber modified the standard Cypress conical planter into a custom 10’-0” diameter × 24”H bottomless planter wall system, translating MESA’s design intent into a project-specific fabricated solution.

The typical Cypress profile was modified with a more subtle transition from the upper edge to the base, creating a restrained conical form at this larger scale. Fabricated as a two-piece fused system from 1/4” powder-coated steel, the planter incorporates an 8” wide base plate and was designed to read as a continuous circular element once assembled.

Did you know? Custom sign fabrication is another part of what we do.

The Corten steel sign body at Gallegos Park in Frisco, Texas, is one of many custom sign bodies Form & Fiber has fabricated for sign contractors over the years.

For this project, we worked directly with Legacy Signs of Texas to fabricate the 13’-4” long × 33” high Corten steel body, providing the architectural metal component for the completed monument sign.

Our fabrication capabilities extend beyond traditional site furnishings to include custom sign bodies, frameworks, metal components, and specialty applications, all fabricated in coordination with the sign contractor and their project requirements.

Sometimes our work is the finished product. Other times, it becomes the foundation for someone else’s.

Finished product is carefully packaged, protected, and staged for shipment, ready for the next step in its journey from our shop to the project site.

A little planning on the front end helps keep projects moving on the back end.
