RUNE loves representing Lalique to architects & interior designers in North America. The iconic crystal house is synonymous with French luxury, creating all of their Art Deco inspired designs by hand in Alsace, France, to this day. The recent opening of Lalique’s flagship, their Maison d’Artiste Townhouse in Manhattan, New York, proves the house’s savoir-faire is as scintillating as when René Lalique founded his namesake company 140 years ago. We experienced a particularly beautiful moment of illumination when specifying a bespoke Perles Chandelier, designed in collaboration with Pierre-Yves Rochon, for a very special client. We love working with John Eric Byers, an award-winning American woodworking artist. Based in New York, John creates modern, minimalist, geometrically inspired pieces guided by hand-carved surface texture & structure, as well as deep respect for the material itself. We love how his works evoke an emotional response to their purity of form, especially in large scale pieces like the textural T3 Table where geometry & cantilevered surfaces create a strikingly refined composition.
