Hey friends!
We got an interesting call today from a client looking to buy an extra window for her greenhouse.
But when we checked, we couldn’t find her info in our database.
Before we could even ask, she said,
‘Oh yeah, I forgot to mention—I didn’t actually buy the greenhouse. It was already in the backyard when I bought the house!’*
We told her that a lot of our customers actually take their Ecoslider greenhouses with them when they move. To prove it, we sent her a video.
Her response?
‘Well, I guess I got lucky the previous owner didn’t know that!’😂
Check out the video and let us know—would you take your greenhouse with you when you move? 🌿🏡.

How to Prepare the soil for Installing an Ecoslider greenhouse
🔧 This season, our installers have faced challenges due to uneven surfaces where the Ecoslider greenhouses are being placed. To ensure a smooth installation, it’s crucial to prepare a proper foundation. Our sales managers advise clients on the importance of preparing the foundation. Here are the key points:
🔨 1. Foundation Frame: While Ecoslider greenhouses come with a foundation frame that can be anchored directly into the ground, it’s still essential to prepare the ground for the best results.
🔨 2. Ground Preparation: Ensure the installation area is leveled and free of any debris. Remove the top layer of soil (approximately 3-6 inches) and level the ground underneath. You can also fill the area with fine gravel and a layer of sand, making sure to compact it firmly.
🔨 3. Planting Plans: Consider how you plan to grow your plants before setting up the greenhouse. If you're using geotextile and growing bags or building raised beds, you may not need to remove the top soil layer from the entire area. Tailor your soil preparation to your cultivation method.
🔨 4. Insulated Foundation Frames: We offer galvanized metal foundation frames, both with and without insulation. An insulated foundation frame can improve heat retention by 15-20%, allowing for early spring planting and extending the growing season into late autumn.
🔨 5. Filling with Soil: After installing the greenhouse, fill it with soil to prevent strong winds from entering between the soil and the foundation frame. Otherwise, you might end up with a "wind blade" instead of a stable greenhouse.
🔧 Properly balancing the foundation is crucial to avoid asymmetry in the greenhouse structure, which can make it vulnerable to bad weather, especially in winter. A well-prepared, flat foundation ensures stability and longevity for your greenhouse. 💮

When it comes to protecting plants from the cold at night, we've got to act fast when the weather takes a turn. 🌨️
☀️After a warm spell, sudden cold snaps can catch our plants off guard, so it's essential to give them some extra care and attention.
For plants in pots inside the greenhouse, it's pretty straightforward—we can just bring them indoors if it gets too chilly. But for plants already in the ground, we've got two main options: covering them up or adding some heat, or maybe even both if it's really cold.
🌱 Covering Up:
There are lots of ways to cover your plants for protection—things like using plastic sheeting, buckets, or even just a cardboard box. The important thing is to make sure there's some space between the cover and your plants so they can still breathe. If it's really cold, you can add an extra layer of protection with newspaper or plastic bags.
💮 Adding Heat:
When it comes to adding heat, there are plenty of simple solutions. You can use things like hot water bottles, stones warmed up near a fire, or even candles for a bit of warmth. Imagine a black container soaking up the sun during the day and releasing that heat at night—that's one option. For a DIY approach, you could set up a makeshift "oven" using candles and bricks to keep things cozy.
And if you prefer a more modern approach, there's always electricity. You can use things like electric fans or heaters, some of which come with handy features like temperature controls to keep things just right.
So, whether you're wrapping your plants up snug or adding a little warmth, being creative can help keep your green friends happy and healthy until the weather warms up again. Winter might stick around, but with a bit of effort, we can help our plants thrive until spring arrives! 🌿🌿🌿
