Long time but it's finally ready, the 3.0 update for the Ultimate Wolf Simulator 2 is ready and available on Google Play! iPhone/iPad version will be ready next week!

I'll continue working on the mobiles in my spare time (starting from the newest line and working backwards), getting the first one fixed and built was the biggest step, the time I need for each one should get shorter. Apologies its taken so long I won't go in to the massive headaches I've had getting them working with the more modern software. Thanks you all for giving me the time to stretch my wings and work on a PC game, I have definitely learned a lot and I still have a long way to go, it's been strange coming back and seeing my old code, the old way I used to do things. When the day comes that I do make a new mobile game, I'm sure I can make a game like nothing you've seen before!

Spending my nights for the next few months working on updates for all the mobile games. Fixing bugs, adding compatibility for new devices / operating systems, various performance / graphical improvements. I'll still be working on The WILDS during the day. This will be my work schedule for the next few months, PC game in the day, mobile game updates at night. When I finish updating the whole catalog we can talk about a new game for mobile!

Update #4 (v1.0.5) is now LIVE! Release notes as follows:
ANIMAL CHANGES
+ RACCOON: Raccoon added as both playable and NPC animal
+ WOLF: New Drinking animation
BUG FIXES:
+ CONTROL MAPPING: Vocalizations correctly listed as Num Keys 1-3
+ CAMERA: Glitchy behavior for small animals and laying large animals fixed.
GAMEPLAY CHANGES:
+ PACK CONTROL: Use the "Interaction" key (F by default) while targeting an animal to send commands to your pack, surround or attack targeted animal.
+ SLEEP: Sleeping now prompts a duration menu, choose your time of day or your seasons to wake up in
+ AI: Total rework, AI now broken into states and shared among ALL non-player animals. Similar player experience expected until further development
+ AI: NPC Animals should now eat and drink on their own.
+ WATER: Added water effects, rippling for slow water interactions, splashing for faster ones.
+ SEASONS: Seasons now properly changing, along with real-time snow accumulation in winter, season specific weather events etc.
+ MAP PINGS: Right Click on the map to Add/Remove a ping that will show on your map/radar to guide you around the world
KNOWN ISSUES
+ AI: Although the AI was restructured, it will need complete retesting and has not been pushed any further than the previous system.

Just an update for our mobile fans!
My tentative plans are that once The WILDS leaves Early Access (upon full completion of the first Biome), I'll use the code base to make a new run of the mobile sims. This will be weekend work as my main focus will still be the PC game, but I want to still try and create new stuff for the mobile people too!
I've been trying to get an update together for the older games having compatibility issues with iOS 15 but it's been rough going. The dev software has come so far that its breaking the games and deleting scripts when I try to update, so I'm still looking for the right version of Unity that will bring further compatibility without making me rework huge portions of the game.

BUG FIXES
+ Combat: Deer no longer losing ability to attack
+ Interactions: Floating interaction labels fixed
+ Menus: Pause Screen now actually pauses game
GAMEPLAY CHANGES
+ NEW: Family Menu where you can manage your pack and breed babies
+ NEW: Babies! With a Male and Female animal in your pack you can now have babies using the "Breed" button
+ NEW: Press 'U' to hide/show the gameplay UI (For easier screenshotting)
+ NEW: Enemy and Mate crows now available

Update #1 for The WILDS is just about ready! Planning to submit on Thursday or Friday. Vastly improved the camera and jittery movement when sprinting. NEW ANIMAL: The Raven joins the roster! Rendering improvements, more map detailing, and a whole load of other improvements coming in just a few days!

SHORT DELAY INCOMING Unfortunately we failed our first review, issues with the controller support and the splitscreen multiplayer, which admittedly it ismy first time dealing with both of those areas in game dev so not much of a surprise. 1-2 days to get the issues fixed up and then I'll resubmit. With any lucky we'll have another shot at release by the end of the week

I want to make sure everyone understands the state of the game releasing into Early Access. The game is maybe 10% done... basic movement, basic AI, basic mates, basic combat, and a basic world. It's just the minimum playable state. There isn't much to do. Joining the Early Access at this state will give you an inside look at how I build a game and the ability to influence the direction of the development and mechanics.
The idea being that getting realtime feedback from the players while I build should result in a better end product. I expect at least A FULL YEAR of development before we get near the 100% mark on the first biome. Roadmap to come soon.

Another big change that will happen post release is to the multiplayer. Currently it is a splitscreen setup meaning a guest player with a controller gets half the screen and can roam freely. This is causing TOO MANY ISSUES.
I plan on changing this to a "shared screen" co-op style, where the camera adapts to keep you both on screen, and you'll have a set distance to maintain near each other.
This is due to the many technical limitations a dual camera setup presents. Affecting all sorts of stuff from rendering and performance all the way to my UI setup. A lot of game design is smoke and mirrors dependent on knowing exactly where the player (or camera) is at, having two complicates thing way too much.
*Id like to finish this up with a note that I am going to take one more crack at full fledged online multiplayer. It's what we all want, it's what I want, and I think the first month after release I will devote to achieving this.
