ONE VALUE IS A SIGNAL : NOT A PROTOCOL.
HGH and IGF-1 interpretation requires more than reacting to one elevated or low result.
The growth-hormone axis should be calibrated against age, timing, nutrition, glucose context, thyroid status, medications, symptoms, medical history, and assay limitations.
Random GH values can be especially difficult to interpret because GH secretion is pulsatile. IGF-1 may help frame the signal, but it does not stand alone. When clinically appropriate, a physician may recommend repeat testing or additional evaluation before any treatment decision.
At Beyond The Call, connected with Body Symmetry MD Boston, our approach is simple: read the signal, audit the context, and act only when the clinical picture supports it. Any HGH or IGF-1 therapy consideration requires physician evaluation and is not universally appropriate.
