Elevate your tea game. Here’s a Japanese tea cabinet, or cha tansu, with black quarter sawn persimmon wood and sliding glass doors. Lots of storage in this cabinet for textiles, treasures, and tea sets.

Inside is a slithering elongated ‘s’ shaped shelf, or chashigaiku shelf, for displaying prized tea ceremony utensils.

The two inset sliding doors are painted with a landscape scene.

So pleased to show this handcrafted Tibetan tea table painted with peonies and lotus blossoms. Consider the journey this piece has made from the Himalayas in the early 1900s to Montana over 100 years later. Excellent condition and a joy to contemplate.
