Inspired by the landscapes of Emma Hayes homeland, Aotearoa New Zealand, Emma is interested in creating immersive contemplative environments with gestural patterns drawn from water, forest, and light. All of the wallcoverings begin as hand-painted artworks, an intuitive, meditative, process. Her hope is to bring the calming effects of nature indoors with designs that draw from the landscape and evoke a sense of wellbeing.
