Farmers are asked to do a lot.
Produce our food. Protect natural resources. Adapt to changing weather. Navigate shifting markets. Invest in new practices. Keep farms productive and profitable, often while planning for the next generation.
If we want farmers to care for the land for the long term, they need systems that support them for the long term, too.
That means access to research, education, technical assistance, viable markets, and the resources to make changes without carrying all of the risk alone.
Supporting farmers isn’t separate from building a healthier food system. It’s where that work begins.
