We’re cherishing the time we get to spend working together, building beautiful things and enjoying the everyday moments in the shop. ❤️

Amanda’s sanding primer with our new Festool RTS 400 R from the Beaver Industrial Supply open house, and I’m working on trim pieces with fresh blades from W.D. Quinn Saw.

Good tools, good company, and a little sawdust. Life is good! 🦉

Amanda is adding another skill to her Barred Owl résumé! Today she learned to spray a 1K waterborne poly/acrylic hybrid—and she picked it up quickly. Proud of her for always being willing to suit up, learn something new, and help us keep improving our finishing process!

This walnut kitchen is officially wrapped up—and this one really shows what custom cabinetry can do.

Every cabinet was built specifically for this space, from the full refrigerator surround and open display cubbies to the oversized island, hidden double-bin trash pullout and cabinetry surrounding that incredible stone range hood. The natural walnut grain, warm brass hardware and bright countertops brought the entire room together beautifully.

A huge thank-you to Ben and Brie for trusting Barred Owl Woodworker with such an important part of their home. We’re proud to put our name on this one.

If you’re considering a custom kitchen, built-in or cabinetry project, send us a message. We’d love to help bring your ideas to life.

This one is officially complete.

From rough lumber to the finished installation, every cabinet in this kitchen was handcrafted specifically for this home. Solid walnut cabinetry, custom dovetail drawers, full-extension pull-outs, hidden storage, an appliance garage, integrated organizers, and every detail designed with both beauty and function in mind.

As a small, veteran-owned business, I'm incredibly grateful for clients who trust me with projects like this. It's a privilege to build something that will become part of a family's everyday life for years to come.

If you're thinking about building a kitchen that is truly custom—not just assembled, but crafted—I'd love to talk.

Here’s why I haven’t posted in a bit! Every cabinet in this kitchen was built from scratch, one piece at a time.

Solid walnut throughout, custom box joint drawers, hidden storage, integrated organizers, appliance garage, pull-out waste systems, and a layout designed around how this family actually cooks and lives.

It's always rewarding to see months of planning, milling, finishing, and installation come together into a space that feels timeless.

Thank you to another wonderful family for trusting Barred Owl Woodworker with your home.

What feature would you want in your dream kitchen?

Just wrapped up this full custom built-in and couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Built entirely from solid maple with a quarter sawn white oak top to bring in that rich contrast and durability where it matters most. Clean lines, tons of functional storage, and designed to tie seamlessly into the space from wall to wall and floor to ceiling. This is the kind of piece that transforms a room and is built to last a lifetime.

If you’ve been thinking about upgrading your space with something custom, this is your sign—let’s build something that fits your home perfectly.
