Did you know you could paint lamp shades? Well, you most definitely can! I am in the middle of painting two shades to go with lamps I am working on. I wanted to give them an artsy upscale feel. That was the idea, anyway.
Staring with a white canvas can be a bit intimidating. But the great thing about paint is that if you don't like it, you can always start over. Even the greatest artists, from Rembrandt to Picasso, have painted over canvases they were not happy with.
Just let the ideas flow out of you. Do not hold back. You may surprise yourself. The worst that could happen is that you start over.
