Trestle table base finished up. It is finished (sprayed) with a water based poly so the ash doesn’t yellow over time. Now for the rosewood and wenge top.

One of the three shaker nightstands is done. I am very happy with how it came out. It is made of white oak, and reclaimed pine from a barn in PA. The drawer is milk painted and top coated in shellac.

A little after and before… This ash table top is in the finishing stages. I’m using a water based poly so it doesn’t yellow.

This may be an inside joke, but when you boil it down further it is a reminder to how breast cancer can effect people. Life is impermanent and can change any second. Always battle it out.

More progress on the 3 shaker tables. I just started the joinery on them. The first two pictures show haunched mortises cut into the legs. Nice and strong. Awaiting tenons on the aprons.

I’m definitely old school. This is the start to 3 shaker bedside tables. I have all my parts rough milled and stacked. Starting from 8/4 white oak - some resawing involved. So much fun to get back to fine furniture.

New/old drill press. It’s a walker turner type 4 20” drill press I believe. Made sometime in the 50’s in net Jersey. The motor is 3 phase… I could use a vfd, but I decided it’s best to purchase a brand new motor 1 hp 230v motor with a similar rpm to the big motor on there. I do have to make a custom mounting plate for the new motor but that isn’t hard to make at all. Just a thick piece plate with some tapped holes.
