“Sossego" is Portuguese and is translated as a deep, quiet tranquility. It references harmony of spirit within the self and the world; a sort of pause and placidity. Sossego’s pieces reflect the Brazilian lifestyle of warm, relaxed, and welcomed comfort. We also work with architects and design professionals. In 2010, Aristeu Pires began developing the first drafts of the Angela Armchair. It took six years of refining, reviewing, and rethinking every detail before the chair made its debut in 2016.

That craft and attention to detail became part of what makes Angela unmistakable.
