My name is Zonnie Gebeh. Our beloved son Robert Sogbe Jr. traveled to Turkey to make a life for himself and the family he left behind in Monrovia Liberia. Unfortunately, on June 18, barely a week after his arrival, he died alone in that strange land without anyone by his side. He is suspected to have ingested slow poison before his departure perhaps. He leaves behind his son, 1, and daughter, 11. We cannot put into words the pain our family is enduring at this time. He was high-spirited and a determined young man with his whole life ahead of him.

Robert was a father, a son, a grandson, a nephew, a cousin, a sweetheart, and a friend. He was the light of our lives, someone you could count on. All he wanted to do, like so many in Monrovia Liberia was to find ways to help his children and mom.

We are soliciting assistance to raise funds which will be used to help with transporting his remains from Turkey to Liberia, and to give him a fitting burial and a purse to offer assistance to his children.
