Celebrating 25 years of his revolutionary custom hide art and rug design is a milestone worth honoring, and we’re proud to be part of his creative journey. As he humbly puts it, he’s the “world’s second hide artist,” following the accidental spark his father ignited decades ago. Every rug is entirely custom and made-to-order, crafted with skill, care, and a relentless attention to detail.

Creating dynamic, ever-changing environments is central to Rottet’s design philosophy. The Aurora tables exemplify this approach, bringing light, reflection, and warmth into a space. Designed with a tempered glass top resting on two sculptural bronze and cast glass legs, the table captures and diffuses light, creating a soft, natural glow that complements a range of interior styles.

Our Luminosa Screen features custom Italian Rubelli LED fabric within a sculptural metal frame. First introduced as a radiant heating cover for l’Appartamento by during Milano Design Week 2024, the piece adapts beyond the original concept, functioning as a fireplace screen in warmer months or expanding into a one-, three-, or four-panel room divider.

Two Rottet Collection designs, the Split Face Planter and the James Desk, have been nominated in LUXE Interiors + Design’s LUXE Product Awards Readers’ Choice. Vote for us before voting closes on Aug. 28 via the link in bio. Participants may vote every 24 hours.

The Split Face Planters are a clay form where the back is curved, appearing like rammed earth, and the front is sliced and metallic. The metallic reflection allows one to see their reflection in the planters while walking toward them, creating the perception of walking into and bonding with nature.

The James Desk, originally designed for Central Park Tower, is an elegantly shaped leather-wrapped piece that incorporates a wood writing surface, a concealed leather drawer, and wire management.

A striking presence in our Manhattan showroom: Livio Saganic’s monumental Terror of the Sea sculpture commands attention with its raw power and structural elegance.

For Livio Saganic, slate is a material that predates any reference it might hold, its stratified nature a form of geology made manifest. Terror of the Sea (1987) approaches monumentality not as authoritarian or oppressive, but as something that links periods when sculpture, architecture, and landscape were one.

Each fragment becomes a small but complete site where “veils of civilization” are embedded in its strata. Steeped in history and myth, the work rests in stillness and permanence, a place for contemplation and temporary refuge.

The Rattan Settee brings a refined ease to any interior. Woven rattan lends warmth and texture, polished stainless steel a cool, clean line, and a softly upholstered seat the comfort. Structure and livability, held in balance.
