, Founder of , closed out the Shoptalk Spring Main Stage today with keen insights into building lasting creator relationships.
Early on in The Honest Company’s journey, Alba was struck by how similar creators’ lives were to her own—parents dealing with skin sensitivities, changing shopping needs, and real questions around what to trust.
Her team actively courted those creators, sent product with no requirements, and let them speak to their own audiences in their own voice.
If a real relationship formed, an ambassador role was created. Her team later evolved the model further, sending product to everyday customers and letting organic sharing build from there.
Ashley Schapiro, VP, Marketing, Media, Performance & Engagement at , describes the sheer scale of assets driving the company’s social and ad strategy:
