With all the holidays and gatherings coming up, I keep thinking about how much I love hosting. Setting a beautiful table has always been one of my favorite things to do. And if you know me, you know that crystal, silver, and beautiful serving pieces are my absolute weakness!

I truly believe nothing makes a table more beautiful than these little details, especially when the pieces are antique and have a history of their own. I could spend hours finding them, collecting them, and imagining how beautiful they would look on a table.

I hope you love them as much as we do, because I’m so excited to finally share some of these treasures with you!

✨ Join us November 5th at 7 PM EST for our collection “The Art of Hosting.”

There is so much beauty coming, and I can’t wait for you to see it all. Mark your calendars, we hope to see you there! 🤍

Van Gogh, Toulouse-Lautrec, and August Hermann Knoop. Three artists you probably wouldn’t expect to find in the same sentence. But they have something in common!

Knoop (German, 1856–1919) studied in Paris under Fernand Cormon, the same teacher who taught both Van Gogh and Toulouse-Lautrec.

And here’s what makes that connection so interesting. While Van Gogh and Toulouse-Lautrec were exploring new ways of depicting the modern world, Knoop took a very different direction. He became known for his richly detailed paintings inspired by earlier centuries, particularly the elegance and social life of the Rococo period.

Same teacher, completely different artistic paths. A wonderful reminder of just how diverse 19th-century painting really was.

This beautiful oil painting by August Hermann Knoop will be joining our “L’Heure Dorée” with Gaby's Old Treasures on Monday, October 26th at 7:30 PM EST. Save the date ✨

A piece I’m especially excited to share!

Comment “Knoop” for a tag 🤍
