Helping a soon to be college student get some things in order before she’s off to college.

Parents it’s ok to know you are not able to help your kids get organized. Realizing that and still stepping out to ask for help is a huge blessing to you and your kid.

Not my typical post on organizing but something I wanted to share

Today my sister in law, Lili would have turned 60. 🌼

It’s bizarre how grief works. You can laugh and cry all in one moment. You can be angry and happy all in another moment.

I caught myself laughing at a video she sent me of aliens telling jokes and then immediate tears. The tears were for just a moment of sadness that she’s not here BUT then immediate JOY because I know where she is.

The journey with Lili that I was so honored to take and that I would not change at all gave me a deeper understanding of JOY in our Heavenly Father and the bible verse James 1:2-3

“ Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance."

It’s interesting to me how Lili a self proclaimed agnostic unknowingly showed a self proclaimed Jesus lover a deeper biblical meaning of the word JOY 🥹

It’s not faking it till you make it.

It’s not slapping on a fake smile to hide pain. 😊 😢

It’s not ignoring the diagnosis. 🧑‍⚕️ 📝

Its having a true understanding and contentment in God. Knowing He has you in ALL situations be it good or bad.

True JOY doesn’t change depending on your circumstances. Joy remains in the sadness, in the anger, in the confusion, in all of it.

Today I’m joyful for the part of my life that got to grow with Lilliam Illas.

I’m joyful for the sleepless nights at the hospital with her.

I’m joyful for all the hard questions she asked about my faith.

I’m joyful for her skepticism

I’m joyful because I witnessed her experience and accept Jesus.

I’m joyful because I saw her take her last breath and transition from this life to eternity with our Heavenly Father.

Can we talk planners??

How many of you use planners…effectively??

Can I encourage you not to overthink the process of a planner and to start using one before the school year starts AND get the kids using one as well.

It helps maintain order and creates accountability for everyone.

Sound the alarms…it’s about that time for school to start.

It doesn’t matter if you send your kids to public school, private school or homeschool starting back up is always a little stressful.

Schedules

The list can go on and on and on.

So instead of waiting to the week before start now!! Make a plan so the process can be enjoyable and not so stressful.

Is Clutter Affecting Your Peace?

Clutter isn’t always about “too much stuff.”
�Sometimes it’s mental exhaustion, decision fatigue, and constantly feeling behind.

A peaceful home doesn’t require perfection.
�It requires intentionality.

Anyone who knows us or has been following the page for a while knows how Ordered Excellence came to be and how our faith has and continues to play a role in how we operate within our business.

I tell anyone who will listen it’s not about perfection but it’s about progress.

God is not asking us to create perfect homes. He’s inviting us to create spaces filled with peace, stewardship, and intention.

Sometimes the clutter around us reflects the overwhelm within us. Creating order in our homes can help create room for rest, clarity, and gratitude.
