It’s been a while I know, but I’ve still been doing my woodturning and added something new. Some Halloween ornaments from the scroll saw.

Are they pens? Are they a stylus? They are both, a twist pen with a stylus on top. Jot down your notes and use it on your phone or tablet. Left to right: purple and orange resin, Bloodwood, Purpleheart, Canarywood, and Zebrawood.

So something a bit different for me. It’s not woodturning but it is woodworking. Made a cutting board using Cherry, Maple, and Black Walnut. First time doing this and not too bad if I say so myself.

Two custom ordered shaving bowls. One in Paduak and the second with Honduran Rosewood. Finished both bowls with Alumilite Amazing Clear Cast + Both are happy in their new homes.

I know it’s been quiet here, life has kept me busy. But I have been turning. This is a Triton fountain pen with double dyed gold and black Maple Burl.

Here I go playing with resin again. This time some chunks of Apple wood with purple resin which turned into a small platter. Used a silicone cake pan as a mold.

Lots of cracks in this wood but it has a lot of character. No problem. Nothing a bit of resin can’t fix. Made these for a friend who wanted to make some pens with the wood.

The ocean blue. Playing with some resin and wood I had stabilized. Having fun turning it and I always love watching the ribbons of resin coming off as it turns.

I am really digging my new band saw. Got the final pieces for me to hook it up to my dust collection and I’ve been cutting away. Also nice when I can listen to tunes while I’m working and not overwhelmed with machine noise.
