**SOLD** ✨Barb & Stan✨
These American of Martinsville rattan front side tables followed me home the other day.
As much as I love the pieces themselves, I always find myself most interested in the people who lived with them.
These belonged to Barb and Stan. Stan traveled often for work, running cable, while Barb was the heart of the home. Her daughter told me she was known for her homemade Runzas and for taking care of everyone who walked through the door.
If someone had a little too much to drink, Barb wouldn’t let them leave. She’d make them stay the night and feed them the next day.
Tell me you’re from the Midwest without telling me you’re from the Midwest. 😊
This cute couple is ready to continue their story with someone new.❤️

✨ The Scottie Set ✨Part Two: The Tallboy
Continuing The Scottie Set with this 4 drawer tallboy from Dixie’s Contemporary in Satin Cherry line. Known for its clean mid century design, warm cherry tones, and quality craftsmanship that still holds strong today.
Like the lowboy, this piece spent the last 15+ years in Scott’s home quietly doing its job, holding life together in the background while everything else happened around it.
Scott is a longtime Boy Scout leader of over 30 years, and as we talked, he shared stories that could only come from that kind of time spent outdoors and in community.
There was the canoe trip through the Boundary Waters where his son caught a Northern Pike using a rubber duck decoy they had rigged up and dragged behind the canoe. Somehow… it worked. 😆
Now refreshed and ready for its next chapter. DM for more details.

✨ The Scottie Set ✨ Part 1: The Scottie Lowboy
Every vintage piece comes with a story. This one came from the home of Scott, a longtime Boy Scout leader, comic book collector, and clearly someone with a great sense of humor.
For over 15 years, this nine drawer lowboy lived quietly in his home, storing collections of DC, Wizard of Id, and Garfield comics in his office, which somehow feels absolutely perfect for a piece like this.
As we talked, Scott shared a few stories from over 30 years of Scout leadership. Canoe trips, winter campouts, and plenty of moments that come with a lifetime spent outdoors with a troop of energetic boys.
But one story absolutely stood out.
A group of Scouts didn’t believe the frozen tongue scene from A Christmas Story was real… so they tested it on the side of a troop trailer. It was, in fact, very real. 😅
At their next Court of Honor, Scott made them tongue-shaped keychains as a reminder of the lesson learned. Equal parts funny and unforgettable.😆
Those are the kinds of stories I love most when finding vintage pieces. Not just what they are… but the lives they lived alongside.
Now refreshed and ready for its next chapter. DM for more details.
✨ Part Two coming tomorrow.

**SOLD** Meet “Georgia”
This Mid Century Lane dresser came from the home of Phil and Georgia, a couple who shared the kind of love story people hope for. Phil drove the special needs bus in their small town, known for being the sweetest man you’d ever meet. Georgia worked at the middle school and was just as thoughtful. She was always baking, canning, and sharing jars of her homemade pickled beets with neighbors.
They loved the simple things. Gardening together, fishing, and keeping a yard so pristine it sparked a quiet rivalry with the neighbor across the alley. Their home was full of care, routine, and pride in the little details.
It’s easy to imagine this dresser as part of their everyday life. Holding linens, memories, and decades of shared routines.
Now ready for its next home 🤍
