🌿🐝 The Last of the Furniture Collection 🐝🌿

As I begin to slow things down here at The Willow and the Bee, I wanted to share what remains of my furniture inventory.

These are the last of my available pieces, for the most part! There may be a few hidden treasures buried in the workshop, but this is nearly everything I have left.

Some are ready for a new home, while others are waiting for their next chapter and a little transformation. 🤍

As I move away from taking on so many furniture projects, I’d love to see these pieces find their way into homes where they’ll be loved and appreciated.

If something catches your eye, please reach out! I’m happy to share additional photos, measurements, and details.

Thank you for all the years of supporting my little furniture business. Every purchase, kind word, and shared post has meant more than you know.

Here’s to clearing out the workshop, slowing down, and making room for whatever comes next. 🤎

As this year comes to a close, I’ve made the difficult decision to slowly step back from furniture refinishing and take on less work.

What began as a creative outlet and something I truly loved has, over time, taken more from me than it’s given. Between the burnout, pressure, and criticism that can come with sharing your work, something that once brought me so much joy now brings very little.

It’s hard to admit that, especially after pouring so much time, energy, creativity, and heart into building The Willow and the Bee.

For much of my life, I’ve felt like I needed to accomplish more, create more, prove more, and become something bigger to feel like I was enough. But somewhere along the way, I lost pieces of myself trying to become more.

And now? I just want to be small.

I want a quieter, simpler life. Less pressure. Fewer expectations. More room to simply exist without feeling like I constantly have something to prove.

I don’t want to keep chasing more just to feel like enough. I want to do less, be less to everyone else, and finally feel whole within myself.

I’m incredibly grateful for the years of support, the customers who trusted me with their pieces, the friendships I’ve made, and everyone who saw the beauty in what I created.

I’m learning that just because you’re good at something doesn’t mean you have to keep doing it at the expense of your happiness. Sometimes, letting go of something you worked so hard to build isn’t failure. Sometimes, it’s simply choosing yourself.

This isn’t necessarily goodbye. It’s me choosing to slow down, step back, and hopefully find joy in creating again without the pressure that came with it.

Maybe the next chapter of my life isn’t about becoming more.

Maybe it’s about realizing I was always enough, even when I felt small.

Thank you for the years, the opportunities, and for being part of this chapter of my life. 🤍

With love,
The Willow and the Bee 🐝

A vintage hutch with a completely updated look. 🤎

This beautiful piece has been refinished in Fusion Mineral Paint Wellington, a deep earthy green with rich almost-black undertones. The ornate top scrollwork and arched door details were removed for a cleaner, more modern profile, while the original character of the piece was kept intact.

Inside, the back panels are finished with a soft botanical wallpaper that adds just the right amount of pattern and warmth. The two interior shelves give plenty of room for displaying dishes, books, glassware, or favorite collected pieces.

The lower drawer is finished with aged brass cup pulls, and a petite brass key adds a classic vintage detail to the cabinet doors. The front turned legs were stripped back and stained in Varathane Briarsmoke, creating a warm wood contrast against the dark Wellington finish.

A one-of-a-kind statement piece that would be beautiful in a dining room, kitchen, living room, or home office.

✨ Refinished Vintage Buffet / Console

This one turned out so good. 🖤 A classic vintage buffet refreshed in Fusion Mineral Paint in Coal Black, paired with a warm Varathane Briarsmoke stained top and lower shelf.

The original details really shine against the black finish, and the aged brass cup pulls add just the right amount of warmth and character.

With three spacious drawers and a full lower shelf, this piece would be beautiful as a buffet, entryway console, coffee bar, dining room server, or oversized media console.

Primitive rustic charm at its finest 🤎

This beautiful antique dresser is full of authentic character—from its timeworn wood grain and dark walnut finish to the original round wooden keyholes and aged brass hardware.

The craftsmanship is what truly makes this piece special. Its drawers feature distinctive Knapp joints, a late-1800s construction detail sometimes called pin-and-crescent joinery. Even the handmade nails offer a glimpse into how carefully furniture was built generations ago.

Every mark and imperfection has been preserved as part of its story, creating a warm, one-of-a-kind piece for anyone who appreciates primitive furniture and genuine American craftsmanship.
