Preserving the Past, One Floor at a Time

This newly installed floor tells a story 150 years in the making. Crafted from authentic reclaimed threshing floor boards, these planks bring warmth, character, and history to a modern Bucks County renovation.

At Provenance, we believe every piece has a past—and a future. Whether you’re restoring a historic home or designing a new space with soul, our materials honor heritage while redefining what reclaimed can be.

Old-world craftsmanship meets modern coastal living.

In this Avalon shore house, hand-hewn and reclaimed white oak beams bring warmth, texture, and a legacy of skill to every corner—from the vaulted ceilings down to the custom fireplace mantel. The axe marks and tool lines tell the story of early American builders, while our process—brushed, sealed, and thoughtfully installed—protects the material without sanding away its history.

Whether you're renovating a summer home or planning a new build, Provenance supplies reclaimed materials that are both structurally sound and visually striking.

Summer is calling and so is dining with a breeze and in Miami does it best. Provenance was fortunate to have worked with such a great design team on this project where we supplied the brushed poplar beams.

Beams on the brain this week — and for good reason. From solid to faux, pine to oak, we’ve been sending them out nonstop, especially to the shore, where summer projects are in full swing.

We used both solid and faux Hemlock beams for this residential project custom fitting the beams on-site and carefully installing them to hug the unique contours of the home. The result? A trabeated ceiling detail that adds warmth, weight, and architectural interest to an otherwise plain hallway.

Whether you’re building new or adding character to an existing space, reclaimed beams bring timeless texture and craftsmanship to any project.

Reclaimed and reused all the way across the country in West Hollywood, our Independence Marble helped transform a courtyard. Originally quarried for the 1950s reconstruction of Independence Mall in Philadelphia, this character-rich stone has returned to its roots as a paver. Installed in a high-traffic restaurant, it now anchors the courtyard dining area — from stair treads and benches to a custom-built firepit.

Jatoba is an exceptionally dense, stiff hardwood making it an ideal choice for high traffic areas. Like Ipe it has a very fine grain that resists rot, decay, and insect infestation making it an excellent choice for outdoor decks and structure too. Jatoba wood has an orangy salmon color that darkens with exposure to light.
Salvaged from the Rockaway Boardwalk, Provenance milled, sealed and installed the 3" thick stair treads for a commercial buildout using the boardwalk joists. We maintained the woods natural patina and the years of wear.

Georgia marbles thin, undulating and closely packed veining is what gives this stone its strength. Known for its resilience and density it can be found in many notable monuments, memorials and structures across the country...including Philadelphia.

This weeks design showcases all the characteristics that make our Independence Mall marble so beautiful. With its simple clean design you are able to appreciate that pure veining. The custom fabricated stretcher adds stability to the table and the bolts are the perfect accent.
