I just wrapped up 5 days of co-teaching with Ann Klicka at Peter's Valley Craft School. The class went really well, the students where both enthusiastic and really productive. Ann and I have worked together almost every Thursday for the last couple years. We've forged side by side, created, demonstrated and exhibited. We made tools for the shop, installed commissioned work, toured scrap yards and churches, philosophized about craft and business practise. Ive had the chance see her come into her own in the local metalworking community. It was really nice to get to see her shine in a teaching capacity. Now she's off to Memphis for a two year apprenticeship at the metal's museum and I know she's going to rock that town like she did Philly. I'm excited to see her work grow and evolve.
Thanks Ann, I miss you already and I look forward to our next project.

There's a new website in town. Thanks to Leslie A. Grossman for designing it. Feedback and sharing welcomed.

Here's a sneak peak at one of the themes in my upcoming project. I'm getting to play a role in turning a South Philly row home into a castle.

I'm happy to announce I will be the studio assistant for Elizabeth Brim's class at Penland Craft School this next month. She is a brilliant innovator, maker and blacksmith. If your not familiar with her work you owe it to yourself to look it up. Here is one of her pieces.
