We added an extra dish—shredded pork (12 RMB).
Honestly, the portion was tiny.
Overall a bit oily and sweet, nothing impressive.
Not really worth the price.

We also tried the local-style soup dumplings.

➤ There is soup inside, but not a lot
➤ The skin breaks easily when picking up
➤ Flavor is relatively mild

It’s decent with vinegar,
but compared to Shanghai-style soup dumplings,
it lacks depth and richness.

The toppings are classic Guiyang style: shredded potato, lotus root, celtuce, houttuynia (fish mint), cucumber, pickled radish, cold noodles, and more.

Siwawa (Silk Doll Wraps) 🌟🌟🌟

➤ 10 thin wrappers
➤ A full plate of toppings (with free refills)

This place serves the sour soup version of siwawa.
Before you start, the staff pours you a small bowl of sour soup from a teapot—to “wake up” your appetite.

🥬 Side note: small extras that matter

You can help yourself to pickled cabbage,
both spicy and non-spicy versions available.

The sour crunch pairs perfectly with the rich, spicy noodles.

🥢 Pork Chop Rice Noodles: Not bad, but not worth it 🌟🌟

It’s not that it’s bad—
just too ordinary.

Basically a bowl of noodles with a pork chop.
Decent, but nowhere near the level of changwang noodles.

And it’s even 5 RMB more expensive.
Not great value.

If it’s your first time here,
there’s really no need to order it.

🍜 Changwang Noodles: The taste of Guiyang 🌟🌟🌟🌟

A proper bowl comes loaded with:
➤Duck blood tofu
➤Pork intestines
➤Crispy pork bits
➤Chili oil broth

Paired with egg noodles, it’s a very hearty bowl.
The noodles are springy and chewy.
Combined with the rich toppings, every bite has layers
and it just gets better the more you eat.

✔ ¥59 for two = great value
✔ Unique sour soup base, super addictive
✔ Pork slices & handmade meatballs are highlights
✔ Dipping sauces elevate the whole meal (especially tomato)
✔ Get a queue number early—otherwise, expect a wait

If you want something truly local and flavorful in Guiyang,
this sour soup hotpot is definitely worth trying.

🧂 Dipping Sauces: The Soul of the Soul ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Two options:
• Chili dipping sauce (classic Guizhou style)
• Tomato dipping sauce (hidden gem)

✔ Chili sauce
Traditional flavor:
Smoky, spicy, aromatic
Perfect with noodles.

✔ Tomato sauce (highly recommend!)
This one surprised me.

The soup is already sour,
but dipping into tomato sauce = “double sour.”

Yet somehow… it’s even more appetizing.

“Suosuo” Noodles: Careful, It’s HOT ⭐⭐

Similar to glass noodles used in hotpot.

But:
• Doesn’t absorb much flavor
• Stays extremely hot for a long time

👉 Let it cool before eating, or you will burn your mouth.

Vegetable Platter: Soup Absorber MAX ⭐⭐⭐

Leafy greens like chrysanthemum greens and cabbage
soak up the sour broth really well if cooked a bit longer.

Dip them in sauce = instant upgrade.

Potato Slices: Add Them Last ⭐⭐⭐

Pro tip:
👉 Always add potato slices at the end

Otherwise:
1. The soup gets slightly thick
2. It affects the overall texture

Cook until soft and tender for best results.
