A common misconception on module programming is when a major computer or computer operated parts don’t need programming, which in fact do need to be programmed even if it’s a used part, it will take the codes away from the dash board but once you hook a scanner all will be revealed to show no calibration was performed or shows for vin mismatch, it will work for a few months but eventually the main computer will no longer recognize the part and you will have to spend money on another part on top of programming the part, if it’s a new part and you try to get it warrantied the first thing they ask if it was programmed if not you will have to pay out of pocket. Avoid situations like this by verifying if the part needs programming
