This movie palace was one of the largest Spanish-language movie theaters in the country and provided Mexican Americans with a luxury experience at a time of widespread segregation. It's an amazing part of our American history!

Join the World Heritage Office - City of San Antonio and Texas Public Radio for a "puro" evening celebrating our city’s unique flavors and folklore. As a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, we are proud to present this series of culinary conversations aimed at preserving our rich heritage.

This session features a deep dive into NIOSA secrets and folklore! We are especially thrilled to highlight our very own Patti Zaiontz (representing both The Conservation Society of San Antonio and The Professional Tour Guide Association of San Antonio) as she joins TPR’s Marian Navarro for an insider’s look at everyone’s favorite "Night in Old San Antonio."
