Victory.

After a few hours struggling with this it's finally playing right.

This Panasonic labeled BSR turntable was about as frozen up as they come.
Customer wouldn't spring for a new idler so I had to layer rubber on the old one.
Had to find the right headshell to fit the at-3600l. Original headshell housed a tetrad.
Massive wow and flutter due to a mis-shapen platter bearing. Didn't realize it was so bad until I checked it with the calipers.

Now it's happy.

I'm going in for necessary hip replacement surgery on the 30th for a bad left hip and about 8 weeks later the right will be done.

During my recovery I will still be performing repairs in process, only. Please understand there will be an increase in time to completion. Once I've healed up it will be full steam ahead.

Here's a 1982 Sony walkman completely apart.

Pioneer CT-f1250 top of the line cassette deck.

This one was completely serviced. New rollers, idler, belt, clean and l**e and alignment. Excellent, low wow & flutter and high bias recordings.

Ready to go back to its owner.

1981 RCA.13" with the Ctc-96 chassis.
This one had no color or intermittent color lock.

The problem actually turned out to be in the horizontal oscillator which was effecting synchronization of the color. Two transistors and some capacitors in the oscillator circuit cured it ina very abbreviated sense.
