1. Thinking I needed to work for someone else for years before starting my own practice. I wish I knew I could start building something of my own much sooner.

2. Not understanding how important marketing was. Massage school taught me how to massage, but not how to actually get clients through the door.

3. Charging too little because I was new. I thought I needed years of experience before I could charge what my time was worth.

4. Waiting too long to start posting on Instagram. I had NO idea how much social media would eventually change my career.

I almost always spend at least the last 15 minutes of my sessions working on the neck, and this is one of my favorite techniques to incorporate!

I know neck work isn’t always covered in a ton of detail in massage school, so if you’re still building your confidence in this area, starting with simple techniques like this is a great place to begin.
