π New Skill Unlocked π
Spent the weekend getting trained by the awesome at in Guided Biofilm Therapy.
Thank you for opening my eyes to a better way to approach prophylaxis. GBT isnβt just βairpolish with a different name.β Itβs an 8βstep, evidenceβbased protocol that starts with biofilm disclosure and systematically removes the entire biofilm complex before any scaling. Excited to put this new knowledge to practice and see the results that have been repeated in studies.
Although I graduated a decade ago, I still love learning and continually growing to be the best provider and educator for my patients. π¦·

π Volunteer π
First time volunteering with SDSU's Flying Samaritans at their clinic in Tijuana, Mexico and it was a great experience! They offered dental, medical and optometry services all for free to locals in the area. It was an awesome way to jump back into clinic after starting my maternity leave in Janurary πΆπ½ Looking forward to participating in more events like this!
If you're interested in giving back to the community, please reach out and I will help get you connected π€πΎ

πFREE Financial Educationπ
The landscape of dentistry is shifting, and job security can feel unpredictable. After working in corporate, private practice, general dentistry, and perio, one thing is almost always true: no two benefit packages are created equal.
But what if your financial stability didn't hinge on your employer?
Imagine walking into any operatory with the peace of mind that you are in control of your retirement. Imagine negotiating your compensation from a place of power, not desperationβfree to focus solely on patient care because your future is already taken care of.
Itβs time to stop relying on the office benefit packet and start building your own safety net.

π Woah! π 2025 is over so Year 2 is officially in the books! And what a year it has been. But first let me recap the last 3 months:
π October π
π¦· Had my first table at an event for Southern Caregiver Resource Center and gave free oral cancer screenings π
π¦· Celebrated 9 years as a RDH πΎ
π¦· Helped out with my first in-person CE event with CDHA San Diego
π¦· Participated in my first Dental Hygiene Month w/
π¦· Spoke my story for the first time at a financial education meeting π°
π¦· Announced one of my 2025 secrets, due in February 2026 πΆπ½
π November π
π¦· Joined my first Southbay Senior Providers meeting and met a great connection π«±π»βπ«²πΎ
π¦· Met with Naviguide and found another great resource to share with patients!
π¦· Enjoyed a lovely friendsgiving with CDHA San Diego π¦
π December π
π¦· Participated in my first Statewide Taskforce for Oral Health meeting ππΎ
π¦· Turned in my vendorization paperwork for San Diego Regional Center π
π¦· Finished my last prerequisite class for the RN program that I will be applying to THIS MONTH. (My other 2025 secret!) AND kept a 4.0 GPA for all three semesters. π€
So yes, I went back to school this year and no, I am NOT switching careers or becoming a dentist. π The plan is to become a home health RN and expand the ways to help my patients.
2025 was a whirlwind. Worked full-time in private practice, attended to patients every month homebound and facility, went to school in the evenings, got licensed to help families financially and started growing a baby.
2026 will be full of changes, more opportunities for growth and a whole new era. Continuing on the path to helping as many people as I can in health and wealth. π
