No real fancy photos for this build. I had to keep it a secret as I built it. It was a going away present for very close friends. And typical me, taking a fairly simple build and overdoing it. Lol. Wood is African Mahogany.

No top 9 for me this year. Been a very challenging year. But the most rewarding. Here is my greatest creation to date.
I’ve decide my first build for my son will be an acoustic guitar. I’ve always wanted to build one. And no better time than now.

Trestle Table - Poplar. Gel Stain. Semi-Gloss Arm R Seal.
Table top is 70” x 50”
Very fun and challenging build. Biggest top I have ever made. Lots of stain matching to get the desired look.

The last couple months have been a blur. My wife and I welcomed our first child. I took 6 weeks off from the woodshop to get accustomed to our new little one.
Now back in the shop. Building a trestle table. It was nice to pick up the handplanes again. Here’s the process of making a slope cut. Then using my Stanley No. 5 and LN No. 4 to smooth the cut. Enjoy!

On 7-16-2019 my wife and I welcomed our son. Alexander (Xander) Buck.
To say our world has changed is an understatement. We are blessed and overflowing with love. Seeing my wife become an amazing mother has been a sight to see. Thank you to everyone who has checked in on us and helped out.
Parenthood is a wild ride. Rewarding. Tiring. Humbling. And just tons of fun. It comes with stress, but wouldn’t change it for the world.
Well, he’s waking up! Gotta run! Next build is coming soon!

I built this table a month ago for a Maker Market and being limited on space in our home and trying to find a buyer, it will serve as a really nice plant bench for my wife! 😂😂

Can’t believe this news segment was just a couple of days ago. And now, we’re just a couple of days away from Ballast Point’s Made In San Diego Block Party. It’s going to be an awesome event. And, last I checked, all of the tickets available are officially SOLD OUT!
Big thank you to everyone who is planning to come out and support all those involved in this block party. It means a lot to all of us San Diego small businesses. I’m looking forward to seeing you there!
