Cal Poly Society of Civil Engineers Cal Poly's American Society of Civil Engineers Student Chapter We have bi-weekly meetings with presentations from industry speakers along with food for members.

This week is the start of our weekly mentorship scavenger hunt! The first mentorship group to take a selfie at Arch Graveyard and send it to Elise will win a prize. Even if you’re not the first to finish the scavenger hunt, you can still do this task and earn the maximum amount of points offered. Extra bonus points are rewarded to the group who take their selfie at Elise’s favorite structure (Fratessa Tower)! This task expires at the end of the week on Sunday, 10/25. Good luck!!

SCE is hosting our PSWS Interest Meeting in the ATL right after the 4th general meeting! Come out and learn about what the annual competition consists of, hear from attending project teams, key details relating to how you can be a part of PSWS and more‼️

If you are interested and want to know more, these teams will be presenting 👀: Concrete Canoe, Steel Bridge, Timber Design, Surveying, Pre-stressed Concrete Mini-Beam, Environmental Design, Transportation, Geowall!!!

4th General Meeting 🎉🙌 and 🏆🥇🪎COSTUME CONTEST (aka PRIZE time) 👻😱🎃!!! PLEASEEEE show up in costume to entertain our guest speaker Carollo, who are focused on water and wastewater solutions! Don’t forget- this Wednesday 7-8pm at the ATL. Food is provided 😋🍔🌭🌮🌯as always, and this time we’re catering Capriottis, so show up early to grab a bite to eat🍽️😮! In this meeting we will also be going over PSWS so make sure to stay for that! For those unfamiliar PSWS is a regional conference where our competition teams compete against other schools in California, and it’s always a blast!💥💥💥

📣 Get ready to support the City to the Sea Half Marathon with SCE! 🏃‍♀️

Kick off the weekend by joining us for Poster Making Day on Friday, October 16 from 10–11 AM in Bonderson 210 🎨🍩 We’ll be making fun signs to cheer on the runners and SloDoCo donuts will be provided!

Then come out on Sunday, October 18 from 6–8 AM to help cheer on runners and staff a mile marker during the race! 🎉🏃‍♂️ Rides will be provided.
