My bit for the Cowboy Arts and Gear museum contest in Elko Nevada. Forget me nots are the flower I chose to use, I did steel flowers with silver centers and silver flowers with steel centers, the petals are sculpted.

Things are about to get serious!

The first step in my Cowboy Arts and Gear Museum “Made For The Ride” bit is adding my makers mark to the contest-provided cheek piece… and that’s when things start to get serious! They arrive in the mail with the museum’s makers mark and a contestant number stamped on them. You only get the one set to work with so every move you make matters and the pressure is on to make something special!

Can’t wait to show you all my design for this year’s contest!
