Meet "Hayley"! Much like her namesake, this baby had been through some stuff.
She was gifted to me to refurbish and sell to benefit Active Paws Rescue. This gorgeous piece of furniture immediately made me think of Hayley, a little mama dog who was found trying to survive with 3 pups. Once rescued, it was found that Hayley had cancer, but her spirit is strong and she made it through 6 weeks of chemo and is now believed to be cancer free. She's found her new home and has a great life ahead!
This piece was a labor of love, frustration and lots of swearing. Between rain and my paint sprayer acting like a fit-throwing toddler, I was ready to move this to storage and take a break. But I know by completing and selling, it would benefit the rescue, so I sucked it up, threw a few of my own tantrums and finished it.
"Hayley the Dresser" is now ready to have her own home and be the statement piece you didn't know you needed!

Meet "Tux"! Tux is a multi-use piece of furniture that can be a changing table, coffee bar, or dresser.
This piece was donated by an Active Paws Rescue foster and was named for her current foster pup.
Tux is a heavy piece with solid, easy sliding drawers. It's done in a neutral shade with multiple coats of polyurethane for extra durability.
This piece measures 50.5"W x 39" H (at it's highest point) and 16.5" D. The sale of Tux will benefit the ongoing work of Active Paws Rescue.

This chest of drawers was completely stripped down to bare (cedar). Repairs were made to drawers, glides replaced, and damage on surface was addressed.
Painted with a gorgeous deep gray (Wrought Iron by Benjamin Moore) and topped with several coats of polyurethane for durability.
The sale of this chest of drawers benefits the ongoing work of Paws Rescue.

I present to you a "Harry" chest! (See what I did there? 😜). This piece required quite a few repairs and lots of sanding.
Under all the Picasso-esque paint, was a handsome cedar wood chest. After repairs were made, this piece was painted with primer and "Wrought Iron" by Benjamin Moore. 3 coats of poly applied for durability.
The namesake for this dresser was originally named "Crush", but "Harry" suits him better. He also got a second, second chance and is living his absolute best life. I hope this dresser is as lucky - it has years of life left.

Meet "Harry"! Harry was in hairy condition, but has a lot of life left in him!
After a young, budding Picasso outgrew this phase, the piece was being given away and I made plans for this handsome cedar chest of drawers.
This guy had broken and missing drawer glides, broken drawer bottoms, some creative carving and layers of paint that needed attention.
