What I believe helps me stand out from other chalk painters. I make sure I inspect all my work in every inch of what I paint has no excess paint or runs. I also repair corners, damaged carvings and deep scratches a gouges. Here are some photos to show examples.
Notice the build up on the edge in the first photo. That is not my work but I will fix it.
2nd and 3rd photo shows repair in progress. 2nd photo the top was broken off. I attached it back on. The 3rd photo is the wood carving was chipped away. I built it up using a filler called Dixie Belle Mud.

Once again, I forgot to get a before picture. I did take some in progress. This is from a customer who had this over 60 plus years and was his chest of drawers as a little boy. It was a basic pine constructed piece with nothing more than a clear coat. I sanded it all down and stained it gray.

Before and after. This was one of my earlier pieces. I purchased this Gentleman's dresser from a retired antique dealer who had it buried in a barn near Dayton Ohio. I donated $40 for it and one other piece. Sold it months later for over $400 where Vivian (my wife) did booth rent in Holland MI.
