First thing first, this is not the fireplace this mantle was built for, it is my fireplace and it is smaller than the fireplace the mantle is for. Now I can talk about this mantle. It t was built to fit over the top of a brick fireplace. The fireplace did not have a wood top and the customer wanted a rustic wood mantle top. The wood is white oak from a 100 plus year old barn in Herman, Mo. The wood had turned this beautiful shade of brown from over 100 years of exposure to the air. It is truly seasoned by time. I put a coat of clear satin polyurethane on top of it. I was very happy with how this turned out.

Presented here is a turned leg table with matching benches that I have created. The tabletops feature reclaimed oak originally from an old barn. The table's length is 7 ft.

I completed three large juniper wood hexagon planters today, each measuring 27 inches tall and 22.5 inches wide, and finished with teak oil to enhance color retention in the wood.

I have recently completed the construction of a remarkable 10 ft by 12 ft enclosed garden. The elevated bed in this setup stands over 6 ft tall and features 2 ft deep of dedicated growing space. Crafted from durable Juniper wood, it is designed to provide decades of service. This garden space promises to be exceptional and will effectively protect the plants from deer.

Spent my time this week starting the build on another garden enclosure! This one is the perfect size for smaller yards. This enclosure is 10 ft by 12 ft. Perfect for keeping deer and other troublesome animals out of your garden. Here are pics of me laying it out in my yard to check the measurements before I start assembling it on the Customers site. Not too late to get one for your yard.

Reflecting on previous projects, I've showcased a freestanding shelf crafted from a hand-hewn oak beam, notable for retaining axe marks after 150 years.

Our custom garden beds are precision-crafted to fit any space, leveraging the durability of locally sourced Juniper wood. With natural resistance to rot and insects, these beds are designed to endure for decades. A recent example, measuring 15 feet long, 2 feet wide, and 18 inches deep, demonstrates its potential for both small gardens and flower beds.

Today I finished and delivered 4 of my most popular raised bed sizes. These guys are 3 ft wide by 8 ft long by 2 ft deep. Why these measurements? The width is 3 ft because it is the optimal distance for most people to be able to reach both sides of the bed from one side. The depth is 2 feet because most anything you would plant needs a soil depth between 16 to 18 inches. The extra 6 to 8 inches is to fill the bottom of the bed with split firewood. This provides nutrients to the soil as the wood breaks down and more importantly, hold moisture for the plants to draw from when we reach the really hot days of summer. It all has a purpose and not just random measurements.
