SewUnordinary is a full service to the design trade only fabrication studio serving the Charlotte and Lake Norman areas for more than 23 years. Products include custom designed and fabricated soft furnishings such as draperies, roman shades, soft valances, bedding, pillows, as well as natural woven shades, blinds, shutters, roller/solar shades, fabrics and drapery hardware. We offer a wide range of services including measuring, hardware specification, fabrication, and installation as well as shipment of products nationwide. Labor, materials, and yardage quotes are provided within 3-5 business days once a design is complete, fabric selections have been made and measurements taken.

I love how these two rooms show that window treatments don’t have to *match* to work beautifully together.

The floral embroidered draperies in one room add softness and a little personality, while the simple linen box pleated valance in the adjoining room keeps things clean and tailored. Using the same woven trim on both the drapery and the valance brings it all together.

The colors, textures, and overall feel tie everything together without making the rooms look too “matchy-matchy.”
