Finishing up some commissions and got a few more pieces coming in the next week or so (waiting on US customs to let my paint through the border) but I'm having a sale on what inventory I currently have, my living room is getting a little cramped!

I do offer delivery for a fee within a couple hours of my home, and happy to discuss shipping arrangements for folks further away.

Well, the weekend didn't quite go as planned, it never does! The bedroom set will be finished up this week, working on installing drawer slides today, what a job!

In the meantime, I have a bedroom set in my inventory that is available for custom refinishing if anyone is interested! This is a 5-piece vintage Bassett French Provincial bedroom set, which includes a low- and tall-dresser, 2 nightstands, and a full-size bed frame. I can refinish this set in nearly any direction you choose, though I really think a paint/stain combo is going to show it off the most beautifully.

The listing can be found here, if you're interested please don't hesitate to reach out, I'd love to work with you! https://www.facebook.com/share/1HbrdawQYm/

Listed this lovely dresser yesterday, my goodness what a transformation!

This dresser is a Drexel Heritage Dresser, likely manufactured between 1975 and 1980, and was up for sale at a local online auction. Normally, for higher-end pieces like these, I don't like to mess with the finish and change the look too much out of respect for its craftmanship, but this piece was apparently used as a plaything for someone's dog because it was covered in claw marks. Luckily, the veneer was thick enough I was able to carefully sand most of the scratches away, but since it had to be fully stripped I decided to try a new look.

The stain is a custom mix, and the profile trim around all of the drawers was hand-stained ebony with a 1/2" angled artist brush to pay homage to the dresser's original look. Lacquer was used as a topcoat and oh my goodness is it smooooooth!

I can't believe how well it turned out, an interested buyer reached out within an hour of listing and is working out a time to come look at it, but this is my favorite finished piece by far!

UPDATE: Sold!! ❤️

It's been an overwhelming couple of months since I got home from visiting family! Within a week of arriving home, custom requests started flying out of the woodwork and it's only now that I feel like I've gotten my feet back under me. Sadly, this meant things like social media took a bit of a backseat, but now I have so much to show you!

I just recently finished this massive 6-foot buffet, it made its way into my shop almost serendipitously. On a random trip to get gas for mowing, I passed a single garage sale that was closing up in 15 minutes with this huge buffet sitting at the end of the driveway.

I stopped to inspect it, and funny enough a neighbor was there looking at it at the same time. It was too big for my tiny hatchback so he offered to load it in his truck and bring it back to the house. Mind you, I would have literally grabbed my furniture carts and rolled it back home, but this was a better option.

She's available right now, you can find all the details, dimensions, and pricing in the listing, found here: https://www.facebook.com/share/14eP3xCKuer/

While here in Minnesota, I took a look through our family photos to try to find the very first thing I ever made (mostly) by myself. I measured and nailed it together while my dad made the cuts with the chopsaw.

Behold, the scrap horse! 😆 I couldn't find any full photos, but it was a mess of scrap 2x4s, plywood, and smaller pieces with some weird plastic rope that I frayed so it would look like a mane and tail. I made 2, one for me and one for my little sister. The plywood was sharp-edged and hard on our butts and they were sooo wobbly, but they lasted for several hours before they started falling apart from poor construction and we had so much silly fun playing on them! 🤣

A few years later I made a rustic birdhouse bench from 100-year-old fence wood that lasted another 20+ years, will share that next time. Building and creating has always been a passion, which definitely came from my parents who spent countless hours re-building and refinishing our 100-year old house to modernize it while keeping it's old world charm. We spent most of our childhood with something under construction, taped off, or walking on bare plywood floors while it was happening, and as crazy as it may sound, those are some of my fondest memories ❤️

Getting ready to head back home to visit family this Saturday, trying to wrap up as much as possible before then! This little bowfront has been the bane of my existence, but just about finished and ready to list. Can't wait to find this guy a new home so I can stop stressing about that glass!

You can never have too much storage. Got this modular metal stack of drawers but it was definitely used in a garage because there were a couple small oil spills and it reeks of it. Figuring a good wash with dish soap to get rid of the grease then spray with a disinfectant/deodorizer like Lysol and it will hopefully smell much better.

Eventually it'll be repainted a fun color but for now, storage is the most urgent need. Thinking a fun bright color like teal or coral, but I can live with white for now 😃
