A really cool stop in Clearwater, FL. 👏

Barb and Tim got to visit F1RSTeam by Rogers, a facility Total Contentz helped design, and this time they got to see it fully built out, in use, and spend some time training with the team.

They’ve done a beautiful job with the space. With around 30 employees and dedicated areas for packouts, textiles, electronics, cleaning and storage, it was pretty great to see how the plans and conversations from the design process translated into an actual working contents operation.

And getting to train with the team inside the facility added another layer to it. There’s something pretty satisfying about teaching processes in a space you helped plan specifically around those processes.

Also, we wouldn’t mind having that office view. 😂

One of our favorite parts of facility design is getting to come back later and see the thing you talked through on paper actually functioning in real life. And getting to work with the team using it makes it even better.

This was one of those training stops that gave us a few ideas we weren’t expecting.

Barb and Tim spent time with the Dry Medic team, doing some hands-on training in their facility and then getting the chance to go out with the crew on a real job. Being able to talk through the process and then see it happening in the field is always a pretty great way to train.

This crew is Spanish-speaking, so we also worked with a translator who did an amazing job making sure everyone could participate, ask questions and get the most out of the training.

And that got our wheels turning.

There’s a lot of good information in this industry that isn’t always as accessible to Spanish-speaking crews as it should be. So we’re already working on some ideas for Spanish-language ContentzTIPZ, resources and other training materials.

More on that soon. 👀
