Tomball ISD Makes Up For School Closure by Adding One Minute to Morning Bell Schedule
Tomball ISD will add one additional minute to the beginning of the school day at all campuses starting on Monday, January 29 through Thursday, May 31, to make up for time lost when school was cancelled in January due to dangerous weather conditions. This adjustment is necessary to keep the district....

Tip of the month:
In the next couple of months I will be conducting presentations to a variety of groups. My goal is to always create "a-ha" moments, and encourage people to self-analyze their organizational personality. Some tips that I share include:
1. Realize that each space/room within your home serves a different purpose. Think about the functionality of that space and how it is used daily. Then put together a plan of action to organize.
2. Know yourself! Just because your friend or neighbor has a label for everything and a color coded system for her canned goods does not mean that it will work for you. This is when you really need to be yourself and make the space work for you and your family.
3. Finally, and most importantly...adjust as needed. Organizing is truly based on the needs of the space and those who use it. If you put your plan of action in place and you find that it is not working...change it. No one will judge you. Make it work for you and those who use the space/room.

Tip of the month:
Ok...I absolutely love this month's tip. About a year ago I started thinking about my oldest starting high school. That got me to thinking about my high school experience and I wished that I had a way to remember all the fun events. All my memories are locked in my head, and let's be honest they are pretty rusty.
I decided to purchase a calendar for each year of my daughter's high school career. To be specific I purchased one that had the monthly view as well as the weekly view. This way I can write a general description on the month and then add the details and pictures to the day.
When they head off to college this will be one of their gifts. I pray that they will enjoy having a portal to their memories so they can share them with friends and also their own children.

These last few months with my organizing company (Bless This Texas Mess) have been incredible and I cannot say "thank you" enough to all my family and friends who have been so supportive. They have passed along referrals, handed out flyers in the hot sun, let me bring breakfast to their office and speak about my company, and so much more. I am blessed to wake up every morning with the knowledge that I have been given the amazing opportunity to do what I love. I am so excited to continue on this awesome journey!

Tip of the Month:
It is that time of year when the kiddos are going back to school and we as parents are overwhelmed with all the goodies that entails. Here are a few tips to hopefully ease the pain on not only your wallet but also your closets.
1. Take inventory of the previous years clothes. I will have my girls try on articles of clothing that might continue to fit them. We put those on one end of their closet and then remove the items that no longer work. We also look at their jeans. For girls if the jeans fit in the waist but are too short then they can become capris.
2. Shop for now. It is still hot and winter clothes are not needed. Of course I love shopping off season to save, but kiddos love new clothes for school so think warm weather and save the winter gear for later.
3. Always ask if stores have back to school deals. Some will mail coupons or put them on their website, but some you have to ask. I always ask because they might have a coupon that you do not have that they can scan.
Remember that this time of year is expensive and finding ways to save money takes time, but it is worth it!
