As we celebrate 250 years of freedom this July 4th, we’re reminded just how blessed we are to live in a country built on courage, sacrifice, and the God-given freedoms we so often take for granted. 🗽

We are thankful for the men and women who came before us, those who continue to serve, and for the opportunity to work hard, provide for our families, and live out the values that make this country strong.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord…” — Psalm 33:12

From all of us at Deloney & Gandy, we pray you have a safe and meaningful Independence Day as we celebrate the freedom we’ve been given and the faith that carries us forward.

God Bless America. ❤️🤍💙

Really cool perspective as we celebrate 250 years of America. 🇺🇸🌲

Pretty incredible to reflect on the role the forest products industry has played in shaping this country for generations. We’re proud to be part of an industry built on hard work, stewardship, and providing resources people depend on every single day.

🌳For generations, America’s forest industry has helped build this nation—from the wood that shaped our earliest cities and mills to today’s advanced products that support our communities, economy, and daily lives.

🌟 As we celebrate our country’s 250th anniversary this Fourth of July, this timeline highlights key milestones that have defined American forestry across two and a half centuries of innovation and stewardship.

🇺🇸 Happy Fourth of July—and here’s to the future of American forestry.

This is worth the read.

Rural America is feeling the impact of mill closures, and it affects far more than just the paper industry. It affects loggers, truck drivers, landowners, small businesses, families, and entire communities that depend on these jobs and working forests.

Whether you’re in forestry or not, this gives a real look at what’s happening behind the scenes and why it matters.

🌲 A lot can change after a harvest — and that’s not always a bad thing. 🌲

These before and after pictures show a recent clear cut. To some, it may look drastic at first glance, but clear cutting is often part of a long-term forest management plan designed to keep the land healthy and productive for future generations.

When done correctly, clear cutting can:
🌱 Allow new growth to thrive
🌿 Improve wildlife habitat
☀️ Increase sunlight to the forest floor
🌳 Help regenerate healthier, more productive timber stands

Just like farming, forests sometimes need a fresh start to grow back stronger.

Every tract of land is different, and that’s where we come in. Whether you’re looking to harvest now or simply want to understand your options, we’re here to help guide you through the process and make sure your land is managed the right way for your goals.

When we say a forester works for YOU… we mean it. 🌲

✔️ Focuses on your goals
✔️ Helps you get a fair price
✔️ Makes sure your land is taken care of
✔️ Keeps the long-term in mind

It’s not just talk — it’s proven to make a difference.

If you’ve ever wondered what your timber is worth or what your next step should be, we’re here to help.

🔥 Good Fire = Healthy Forest 🔥

What you’re seeing here is a controlled burn—a key part of responsible forest management.

While it may look intense, prescribed fire plays a big role in keeping our forests healthy by:
• Reducing excess underbrush and wildfire risk
• Improving wildlife habitat
• Helping new growth thrive

This is how we take care of the land—not just for today, but for years to come. 🌱

If you’ve got questions about managing your timber, we’d love to help.

From the cross to the grave...and from the grave to glory.

A LOT CAN HAPPEN IN 7 DAYS

This Easter, we remember that hope rose through despair, light broke through darkness, and life triumphed over death. At D&G, we celebrate the power of resurrection - not just as a moment in history, but as a reminder that no matter how things may look...God is still working.

Today and every day, we can take delight in knowing this truth.

May this day fill your heart with faith, gratitude, and the promise of new beginnings.

He is risen. He has risen indeed.
