She recently made history as the first Black woman to be appointed Board chair of the New York Stock Exchange, . Under the Obama Administration, Sharon also became the first African American to be appointed as Commissioner of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission. And prior to that, she was confirmed by the Senate and appointed by President Obama to serve as Vice-Chair and Acting Chair of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC). Congrats Sharon!
