🎨🎈 A LITTLE BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE LIFE OF A FACE PAINTER, BODY ARTIST & ENTERTAINER! 🎈🎨

Sometimes people only see what happens in front of them at a party, but there’s SO much more that goes into what we do! ❤️

As dedicated professionals, we spend countless hours practicing, learning new techniques, perfecting designs, and finding ways to bring our absolute best to every event. One of my favorite things to do is get together with my talented colleagues for a JAM!

Last night was one of those nights! 🥰 A group of us came together to share ideas, learn from one another, create amazing balloon art, experiment with face painting designs, and, most importantly, have FUN doing what we love! 🎈🎨 The talent in that room was incredible, and I always leave these gatherings feeling inspired.

So, the next time someone thinks, “Oh, it’s just a little paint on the face,” or “It’s just a twisted balloon,” remember that there’s a whole lot of practice, creativity, dedication, and passion behind those seemingly simple creations!

We invest so much of our own personal time into perfecting our craft because we want to bring you the very best. ✨

💕 A LITTLE PERSONAL SIDENOTE: 💕

One of the designs I worked on last night was especially meaningful to me. My spirograph-inspired design, influenced by the talented Kanter, took me a YEAR of practice to develop to the point where I felt confident offering it to my clients!

Art takes time, patience, and a whole lot of trial and error. And when my lovely model, Vickie, was so taken by the design, it absolutely MADE MY HEART FULL! 🥹❤️

Those are the moments that remind me why I love what I do. It’s not just about the paint, the balloons, or the finished product. It’s about the creativity, the connections, the constant learning, and the joy we get to share with others.

We don’t just paint faces or twist balloons. We create smiles, memories, and a little bit of magic! ✨🎨🎈

And I wouldn’t trade it for anything! ❤️

There’s something truly special about being a face painter… getting to take someone’s vision and bring it to life right before their eyes. 🎨✨

This family’s message absolutely made my day! They came to me with a vision for their Fright Fest experience, and I got to help make it even more memorable. 🖤💀👻

Knowing that they received so many compliments, that they legit scared some kids 😂, and that their makeup helped enhance their entire experience makes my heart so happy.

But honestly, THIS is why I do what I do. ❤️

I love the creativity, the transformation, and the challenge of bringing each person’s idea to life—but most of all, I love knowing that my art becomes part of someone’s memories. Whether it’s a little one getting their first face paint, a family getting into the Halloween spirit, or a group heading off to Fright Fest looking absolutely terrifying… there really is no age limit to fun!

Thank you, Jackie & Justin, for trusting me with your family’s spooky vision and for taking the time to send me these photos and your sweet message. 🥹❤️

You made my day too! And Mia… I hope that roller coaster was worth those tears! 😂🎢

Happy faces, spooky faces, scared faces—I love bringing them all to life! 🎨👻💀🖤

✨ FACE PAINTING JOURNEY — INSTALLMENT #5 ✨

Okay, THIS one makes me laugh because I call these my “Spirograph” designs. 😂

If you’re too young to know what a Spirograph is… Google it! 😂 It was a super-fun toy where you made all these crazy, intricate patterns with a bunch of little gears and wheels. And honestly, that’s exactly what these designs remind me of!

But in the face-painting world, this isn’t just a bunch of pretty, crazy lines. It’s line work, placement, balance, movement and organization.

The first picture? One of my very first attempts. 😳

Then look at the next FOUR pictures — all from this year!

Can you see it?! 👀

What might look like a whole bunch of random lines actually has a focal point and a purpose. The lines are organized to lead your eye around the design and create something that feels balanced and pleasing.

And let me tell you… this did NOT happen overnight! 😂

It has taken me YEARS of practicing, experimenting, messing it up, trying again, and figuring out how to make those crazy little lines actually behave! 🤣

Looking back at that first attempt and comparing it to where I am now is SO satisfying.

This is the part of my journey I love sharing because sometimes we look at someone’s work and think, “Wow, they’re just naturally good at that.”

Nope. 😉

Sometimes it’s years of practice that you didn’t see.

So whether you’re learning to paint, draw, decorate cakes, take photographs, build a business, or create ANYTHING…

Keep practicing. Keep experimenting. Keep showing up.

Because one day you’ll look back at where you started and realize just how far you’ve come. ❤️🎨✨

And yes… I’m still perfecting my Spirograph. 😉

🐯 Face Painting Journey — Tiger Progression! 🐯

Another installment in my journey reflecting on how far I’ve come as a face painting artist!

On the left is a tiger from this year, and on the right is one I painted back in 2016. Looking at them side by side, I can see the difference so clearly. The face shape is more intentional, the lines are smoother and more consistent, the airbrush work is cleaner, and the overall application has become much more polished.

And you know what? That 2016 tiger was a fine attempt! 😂 I was learning, experimenting, and figuring out what worked. The anatomy and shape weren’t quite there yet, and the paint application wasn’t as smooth—but I kept going.

And THAT is the part of this journey I love most. ❤️
I kept trying. I kept practicing. I kept learning. And the result is the artist I am today.

When you hire a professional face painter, you’re getting so much more than “a little paint on the face.” You’re getting years of practice and experience, professionalism, quality FDA-compliant cosmetic face paints and glitter products, proper insurance, safe and sanitary practices, and an artist who genuinely cares about the experience you and your guests receive.

The paint may wash off… but the experience, the photos, and the memories last. 🐯✨

Practice + consistency + passion = progress.

I’m so incredibly grateful I never stopped trying. ❤️
