Are you considering having a braai (or barbeque) this weekend and are wondering what side dishes to serve? This traditional South African favourite is truly delicious:

SWEETCORN BREAD

Ingredients:
1 tin cream style sweetcorn
2 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
4 teaspoons (80 grams) butter (or margarine)
3 eggs

Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C
2. Melt the butter
3. Mix all ingredients - except the butter – together in a large dish
with a spoon
4. Then add the melted butter and mix well with a spoon
5. Bake in the oven until set – approximately 20 minutes

Double all ingredients in order to make a larger quantity and adjust the baking time accordingly, bearing in mind that double the quantity will probably cook in less than double the time.
