Need precision lifting where space is limited? Jib cranes are designed for controlled lifting in areas where accuracy and accessibility matter. With a rotating arm extending from a central pivot, they allow for efficient material handling within a defined working area, making them ideal for repetitive tasks at individual workstations.

From assembly lines and machine shops to loading stations and warehouse environments, jib cranes provide a flexible solution that improves workflow without relying on larger overhead crane systems.

With wall-mounted or freestanding options and rotation capabilities of up to 360 degrees, they can be configured to suit a wide range of applications.

If your current setup is limiting productivity, it’s time to change it. Speak to our team about a jib crane built for your operation.

We continue to expand our operational capability across the business, strengthening the infrastructure that supports our manufacturing, testing, and training requirements.

A dedicated load testing weight section has been added to improve how test weights are stored, handled and loaded, creating a more controlled environment for load testing. Our electrical capacity has also increased with a new facility for the design and assembly of electrical control panels to support the growing demand for electrical upgrades and modernisation work. Alongside this, we have introduced a separate training centre to support skills development, product familiarisation, and onboarding across the business.

Together, these upgrades reflect our ongoing investment in capability, reliability, and long-term service support for our customers.

Just dispatched. Twelve 5000kg dual speed electric chain hoists for one of our valued customers, each with electric crawls and a 15m lift, delivering a total of 60 000kg of lifting capacity. These units are built to provide precise control and reliable lifting performance across demanding environments.

Supporting clients with fit-for-purpose lifting equipment remains a core part of what we do.

Our KZN team recently completed the supply and installation of a Down Shop Lead (DSL) system for a well-established polymer producer in Durban. Designed to ensure safe, efficient and reliable power supply to moving machinery, the system was tailored to suit the client’s operational environment and production demands.

Consistent current flow is critical in these applications, and the DSL system plays a key role in maintaining performance and minimising downtime.

The project reflects our KZN branch’s ability to support industrial operations and crane related infrastructure where it matters most. For service, maintenance, new projects or modernisation, get in touch with our KZN team.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our colleague, Radia Stenekamp. Radia was a valued part of the RGM Cranes team. Though small in stature, she had a remarkable presence and made a lasting impact on everyone she worked with. Her dedication, professionalism, and the way she carried herself in her work and with those around her will not be forgotten.

She will be remembered not only for the role she fulfilled, but for the respect and kindness she showed to colleagues, clients, and partners alike.

We honour her life, her faith, and the difference she made during her time with us. Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

May she rest in peace.

A new 3 ton single girder underslung crane with a 12.5m span has been installed for Path Plastics CC at their Montague Gardens facility in Cape Town. The crane forms part of an expansion at the facility, with a new moulding machine still to be installed. It will be used to carry out mould changes safely and efficiently as part of the production process.

RGM Cranes completed the full scope of the project including design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning, ensuring the lifting solution integrates seamlessly into the customer’s manufacturing environment.

This project also marks the start of a new relationship with Path Plastics. Alongside the crane installation, we have entered into a Service Level Agreement covering the servicing and load testing of their existing cranes.
