Haeso Africa, a non-profit organization registered in South Africa has developed a free marketplace where African Crafters can list their products for free. These costs create a high boundary to entry as most crafters can afford to buy only raw materials. After producing the goods, crafters are stuck with closing inventory on a daily basis as they try to get a buyer for their products. Even if they try selling at a craft trade show there is a stall fee required upfront. At the end of the day, crafters are discouraged from trading. We have decided to bridge the financial gap that's hindering crafters from being successful by creating a free marketplace that is meant for crafters across Africa. In order to access international markets, we fulfill our orders via DHL and FedEx, moreover, website visitors can change the product prices to their preferred currency, either ZAR, USD, EUR, GBP, or CAD. We accept cryptocurrency from international customers that want to buy our products using Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, or USD Coin. For our local South African market we fulfill our orders via PUDO Lockers and accept secured credit card payments via Paystack, where there is an option to use your debit or credit card, snapscan, masterpass, and Ozow. Purchasing straight from African crafters does make a financial impact on individual households. Africa needs more economic activity especially now that the cost of living is high. Digital Marketing Intern Job Summary
In this virtual collaborative, entry-level role, you will get a chance to learn the required skills and gain professional experience by working on digital marketing campaigns with our team. Our ideal intern candidate has a fundamental understanding of digital marketing best practices, graphic design abilities, videography and strong communication skills, both verbal and written. You will be working with crafters and artists as well as some of our partners in the tourism industry.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
● Work with our team to refine social media strategy and best practices.
● Assist in managing social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Flickr,
YouTube) and editorial calendar to ensure content is timely, relevant, and engaging
● Attend client meetings
●Assist in the creation of written, video, and image content for marketing channels.Creating content for the company’s blog by drafting our crafters' stories, visiting their workplace, taking photos, interviewing them, and creating videos showcasing their talent.
● Taking professional photos to be used on the website and other social media platforms
● Sourcing new vendors, working hand in hand with them and helping with updating their products descriptions.
● Keep up to date and informed on new social media trends and adapt accordingly.
● Assist with email campaigns
● Assist with search engine optimization
● Follow-up and improvement of SEO
● Track keyword rankings
● Identify leaders and influencers (internal/external) and engage them in brand activities
● Maintaining our Social presence, including google shopping and an active facebook shop.
●Designing social media campaigns, creating social media contents, answering to customer’s comments or questions - Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, Pinterest.
● Prepare weekly updates and reports to track growth and success rates of campaigns
● Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions.
● Support marketing campaign planning and ex*****on.
● Take part in formal and informal training opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications
You must possess or be willing to acquire the following skills

● Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
