Sawdust in the wool, goggles pushed back. A good day in the workshop in Obertrum am See, near Salzburg.
I don’t look for the most beautiful wood. I look for the wood with the most to say, and then I listen.
Sometimes someone listens with me. Clients come to the workshop to choose their own piece of timber, walking between the stacks, a hand on the grain. Size, form, surface and colour take shape in conversation.

Sägespäne in der Wolle, die Schutzbrille in die Stirn geschoben. Ein guter Tag in der Werkstatt in Obertrum am See, bei Salzburg.
Ich suche nicht das schönste Holz. Ich suche das, das am meisten zu erzählen hat. Und dann höre ich zu.
Manchmal hört jemand mit. Wer möchte, kommt in die Werkstatt und wählt sein eigenes Stück Holz, zwischen den Stapeln, die Hand auf der Maserung. Größe, Form, Oberfläche und Farbe entstehen im Gespräch.
