Guess what?… after a long 4 month break, we’re back!!

And we’ve got some announcements 📣

Firstly, while we’ve been absent on socials for a good few months we’ve been busy behind the scenes completing commissioned orders like we usually do. But, we’ve also made some changes to our website and our workshop.

The most important change that we need to announce is we’ve made the tough decision to no longer stock paint for sale. We realise this will come as a big shock to some but at the risk of disappointing our locals we no longer range Pureco paints for purchase.
There are plenty of wonderful interstate suppliers to purchase from and most, if not all, ship interstate. We want to take the opportunity to thank our local paint customers for supporting us. I’m sure you’ll all understand when we explain that our passion is well and truly creating bespoke items either for sale on our website or via a commissioned order; so 2024 will see us focus our entire energy towards being hands on.

Secondly, as we mentioned, we’ve tweaked our website. For an IT novice who is also a control freak this is a painfully slow task. And it’s still not complete. It’s in a better position than it was but still needs “something”…if you have the time and love giving feedback we encourage you to view the site and let us know how you think we could improve it more.

Lastly, we’ve added a rough and ready spray booth to our workshop which so far is proving to be super fun to use. This addition will (hopefully) help us to provide faster turnaround times for orders and allow us the space to confidently offer all paint methods to suit all types of requirements.

We’re glad to be back and trust us when we say we’re ready for a big year ahead!

With a faux parquetry veneer top they have understated character. We’ve stripped the top and restrained in a custom mix of stain and glaze colours.

A retro inspired cabinet which was once a dresser with mirror.

It’s mirror is long gone but it’s decent sized drawers remain in fantastic condition.

Refinished in rosewood with colour matched faux leather. It’s jet black trim and matching handles help keep it looking retro but with a modern twist.

COMMISSIONED PIECE

A little while ago we completed a special project for a lovely couple building a new home. They needed two cabinets finished in such a way that gave the appearance that they were one; whilst also serving as a statement against a large wall.

Refinished in a William Morris printed decoupage paper and painted in a beautiful neutral, these two cabinets are certainly at home.

After a short break to recover from surgery we’re finally back and we’ve got a variety of items available on the website.

We’ve been a bit quiet lately and it’s all because of some pesky surgery.

Good news is the worst part is over! So although I’m on the mend at home, (while Rhiannon helps with my recovery) we’re not yet back in the workshop. We will however both be back to business as usual soon.

We recently did a buying trip and both our storage unit and workshop are now over stocked.

COMMISSIONED PIECE

Recently we were commissioned to refinish a beautiful storage chest for a family. Made from a mix of cedar and pine we sanded back all exterior surfaces and then white washed it with a creamy white concoction.
Our customer asked for a banksia image to somehow be incorporated so we come up with the idea of adding a beige banksia doodle art design on all four sides. We thought it looked great when it left the workshop. But seeing it actually set up in the home is even better.
